EMEA NUG 2023 held in Malta

Navis Conference comes to town…. Malta Freeport Terminals was honoured to host more than 100 Navis User Group delegates in Malta for the 23rd edition of the EMEA NUG conference. As the maritime industry faces up to the challenges of an increasingly automated and digitalised world, the conference was an excellent opportunity for Navis users to come together, exchange insights, and gain valuable knowledge on how Navis is reshaping the landscape of terminal operations. Freeport CEO Alex Montebello told delegates that Malta Freeport has been a proud NAVIS customer for almost three decades: "We are fervent supporters of the Navis vision to enrich the container terminal industry with the most advanced software and technologies and have fully embraced technology in an age where technology is a game changer."

During the conference, there were engaging presentations, interactive discussions, and insightful workshops that provided a holistic view of innovative software and automation technologies that are empowering terminals with unparalleled efficiency and productivity, leading to optimised operations, enhanced customer experience, and improved sustainability. Malta Freeport expresseses its appreciation to the companies that sponsored EMEA NUG 2023, namely: Navis, Cisco, DSP Data and System Planning and HandsOn Systems together with Malta Freeport. Their support made this conference a memorable one. The Delegates were also given the opportunity to tour the Freeport facilities and Malta's old capital, the 'Silent City' of Mdina.
