Erie Insurance recognized by American Heart Association for building a culture of health and well-being

ERIE, Pa., March 27, 2024 - Erie Insurance (ERIE) earned national Platinum level recognition from American Heart Association for its commitment to building a culture of employee health and well-being as measured in the Association's 2023 Workforce Well-being Scorecard™.

ERIE has earned the highest-level award for more than 10 straight years and is among the top 8% nationally to achieve platinum recognition out of the nearly 500 participating organizations in 2023.

The Workforce Well-being Scorecard evaluates factors such as a company's mental health support, well-being strategies to address burnout, health equity measures, employee financial resources and more.

"We're proud to offer quality benefits and strive to continually enhance our health and well-being programs for our employees and their families," said ERIE Benefits Analyst MaryAnn Marchant, who coordinates several of the company's health and well-being programs.

ERIE employees have access to comprehensive health and wellness programs that include annual biometric health screenings, health risk assessments, a recently expanded initiative supporting mental health and emotional well-being, lifestyle and condition management coaching, and programs that encourage exercise, healthy eating and yearly medical and dental exams.

"At ERIE, we care about our employees and champion their well-being in and outside of work," said Jody Irwin, ERIE's director of benefits. "The American Heart Association's Workforce Well-being Scorecard helps us stay on top of the latest advancements so we can create the best environment possible for the people who care for our agents and customers."
