Felix Paschke and Niklas Jessen join the U23s

The first new signings by the Borussia Dortmund U23s for the 2024/25 season are set in stone: Felix Paschke and Niklas Jessen have signed three-year contracts and completed a switch to Dortmund from Hamburg.

Felix Paschke is a defensive midfielder and joins from the Hamburger SV second team. "We will have one or two departures in his position next season. Felix shall fill this gap," said Ingo Preuß, the U23s' sporting director. The 20-year-old Paschke spent eight years in the HSV youth setup. "This transfer is something special for him. We believe that he will develop very well with us," explained Preuß.

Niklas Jessen is also transferring from Hamburg to Dortmund. A regular player for the FC St. Pauli second team, he has not missed a match in the current Regionalliga Nord campaign. The 20-year-old is actually a central midfielder. "But with his pace and defensive qualities, we see him as a right-back. He has already shown that he can play this position in the U19 national team," said Ingo Preuß.

Both Niklas Jessen and Felix Paschke have signed three-year contracts.
