Kirkland Guides Butterfly on Separation of Bolthouse Farms’ Fresh Produce and Premium Fresh Beverage Businesses

Kirkland & Ellis advised Butterfly Equity, LP on the separation of its portfolio company Bolthouse Farms into two separate standalone entities: Bolthouse Fresh Foods and Generous Brands. Bolthouse Fresh Foods will carry on the century-old legacy of Bolthouse Farms as a leading supplier of fresh carrots to retailers across North America. Generous Brands will encompass the premium fresh beverage and salad dressing businesses of Bolthouse Farms and Evolutions Fresh. The separation is being facilitated by way of separate debt recapitalizations of each business.
