Grant applications now open for Randwick City community groups and artists

Randwick City Council is inviting not-for-profit groups and organisations, and artists in the Local Government Area to apply for grants to help them launch or grow their projects and services.

Applications for Council's Community Connect and Community Creative grants are now open until Thursday 17 October 2024. The two grants are part of Council's Community Investment Program.

Community Connect supports activities, projects and events that help enrich the lives of residents through enhancing social connection and inclusion. Successful applicants receive up to $10,000 in financial and/or in-kind support such as having their Council venue hire fees waivered.

The Community Creative investment stream supports creative practitioners, groups or organisations to showcase their art and cultural initiatives in Randwick City. Successful applicants receive up to $20,000 in financial and/or in-kind support.

In 2023-2024 Council supported more than 40 locals, including 22 not-for-profit community and arts organisations working in Randwick City, through its Community Investment Program.

These recipients gathered at Randwick Town Hall in August 2024 for a celebration of their contributions to Randwick City, which included helping family violence survivors, working with unhoused young people to find a home, and supporting up-and-coming filmmakers to explore youth mental health issues through their art.

Council has proudly supported local community initiatives through various grants, donations, and subsidy programs since 2009.

Applications for Community Connect and Community Create are now open until Thursday 17 October. Apply and find out more here.
