Several Woodbine Road construction projects begin Mon., Apr. 22

Overnight lane closures on Woodbine Road, Mon., April 22

Three sections in the northern portion of Woodbine Road will have temporary lane closures from 8 p.m. on Mon., Apr. 22 to 6 a.m. on Tue., Apr. 23to allow the construction crew to conduct four pavement cores. The lane closures will occur in three portions of Woodbine Road, as outlined in the maps linked here. Portions of Woodbine Road include:

  • Woodbine Road in front of Woodbine Family Dentistry
  • Just south of Berryhill Road through the Five Points intersection (Quintette Road, Woodbine Road and Chumuckla Highway)
  • Just north of the Cherry Hill Circle/Rolling Acres Road intersection of Woodbine Road (Chumuckla Highway)

The closures are only expected to impact traffic overnight on April 22 but all activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.


Hwy. 90 and Woodbine Road intersection improvement construction begins Mon., Apr. 22

Construction for improvements to the intersection of Hwy. 90 and Woodbine Road in Pace will begin on Mon., Apr. 22. The roadway construction extendsfrom Hwy. 90 to Limbaugh Lane. Most construction is intended to be night work, however, traffic may be impacted by some daytime work.

MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Construction Improvements will include:

  • Extending the merge lane on Woodbine from Highway 90
  • Constructing a free-flow (no traffic signal) right turn from Woodbine Road onto Highway 90
  • Providing dedicated dual left turn lanes from Woodbine onto Highway 90
  • Extending the merge lane on Highway 90 by an additional 600 feet

Other modifications include drainage improvements, new sidewalks on both sides of Woodbine Road, and dedicated left turn lanes on Woodbine Road for access.

This project is anticipated to take 210 days to complete but all activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
