Region 10 Migrant Education Program Inspires Excellence at Regional Speech and Debate Tournament

More than 70 Migrant Education students from across the region, representing 8 school districts, engaged in the Speech or Debate competition, demonstrating their skills and commitment to excellence.
The Region 10 Migrant Education Program hosted its Regional Speech and Debate Tournament on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the LA County Office of Education. More than 70 Migrant Education students from across the region, representing 8 school districts, competed in Speech or Debate. The participating districts included:
- ABC Unified School District
- Los Angeles Unified School District
- Long Beach Unified School District
- El Monte City School District
- El Monte Union High School District
- Antelope Valley Union High School District
- Baldwin Park Unified School District
- Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District
An Awards Ceremony recognized top performers, with first-place winners set to advance to the MEP State Competition in Monterey on May 3-5, 2024. Congratulations to all who participated and to the thirty-four students who will be traveling to Monterey to compete at the state level!
