Recommendations for travel in the Middle East, especially Israel and Iran

The recent escalation of tensions between Iran and Israel has raised the threat level in the Middle East, with security consequences that are difficult to predict.

Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is issuing the following recommendations to Mexican citizens:

Non-essential travel to the region, mainly to Israel and Iran, is discouraged, as consular assistance and protection may be seriously impacted due to the escalation of tensions.

If you are currently in Israel, we suggest that you schedule your departure as soon as possible. Commercial flights are operating to enable your safe exit from the country. Options to leave the country may be severely limited at any time with no prior notice, so there is no guarantee that the conditions will exist in the future for a safe and expeditious evacuation of Mexican citizens.

For additional information, please contact the Embassy of Mexico in Israel at [email protected] or by telephone: (972-3) 516-3938.
