JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.- A project to paint three bridgeson U.S. Route 54 in the Lake of the Ozarks area is set to beginnext week. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with International Rigging Group LLC to apply a protective coatingto the substructure of the bridges. The bridges were rehabilitated in 2023 and this procedure is intended to extend their expectedlife. The work will require the closure ofassociated ramps and may involve nighttime lane closures.
Construction crews will be painting the substructure ofthe eastbound and westbound Grand Glaize Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks bridges and the Niangua Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks bridge. Work is expected to start on May 6 and be complete by the end of the month.
