WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that FEMA will award over $22.5 million for Hurricane Laura recovery efforts in Lafayette, Jeff Davis, and Vermilion parishes.

Congressman Higgins issued the following statement:
'My office remains committed to South Louisiana's hurricane recovery needs. To date, the federal government has delivered well over $1 billion in disaster relief, and these latest reimbursements provide additional resources for the impacted parishes. The need for additional resources is even greater following this week's major rain flooding event. Our recovery mission is ongoing, and we will not stop.'
