Portland State Vanguard Wins 26 Awards At ONPA Statewide College Media Contest

On April 19, the Portland State Vanguard was honored with 26 awards at the 2024 Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association Collegiate Newspaper Contest, including first place in the General Excellence category.

Awards are given for a variety of published content, including writing, design, and photography, based on multiple evaluation criteria including news value, writing quality, originality, imagination, composition, and impact. The Vanguard competed in group two, a category consisting of four-year institutions from across the state.
