MIHDB - Use of Fee in Lieu Funding
On May 11, 2022, City Council approved amendments to the Mixed Income Housing Development Bonus Program to allow developers that use the bonus to pay a fee into the City's new MIHDB fund in lieu of providing reserved units onsite, and we have started to collect fees.
As part of establishing this fund, we have conducted national research on uses of funds of this type and we are seeking your input on how to best utilize this source of funds to support the development and preservation of affordable housing in Dallas.
