Route 1065 Nelson Road Closure in Westmoreland County EXTENDED

Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that a portion of Route 1065 (Nelson Road) in Bell Township, Westmoreland County is anticipated to remain closed until next year.

The roadway between Route 380 (Perrysville Road) and Route 1040 (Whitesell Street) closed on January 29 due to deteriorating slide conditions. There is presently no reopening date and updates will be provided when available.

A detour is in place using:

  • Route 1065 (Nelson Road) to
  • Route 380 (Perrysville Road) to
  • Route 819 to
  • Route 981 to
  • Route 286 (Waukeena Road) to
  • Waukeena/Substation Road to
  • Route 1040 (Learn Road/Whitesell Street).
  • Or the reverse.
