Sergei Shoigu congratulates the specialists of information management services with the 50th anniversary

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu congratulated the personnel of the Department of Information and Media Affairs of the Ministry of Defence with the 50th anniversary of the Information Management Service of the Russian Armed Forces and noted their contribution to the implementation of the Government's information policy.

"Thanks to your work, the attitude towards our country, and to the army, and to military service, and to many other things, has changed," the Minister said.

According to him, the employees of the department do their job brilliantly.

"Your work is highly regarded both in the armed forces and in our country, the work by which you helped to change the attitude towards our country," Shoigu said.

The structure of information management within the Ministry of Defence was created in November 1971. At the moment, the main work in this area is carried out by the Department of Information and Media Affairs of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The department also includes the Centre for Preparation of Information and Maintenance of Internet Resources of the Russian Ministry of Defence and the Red Star Editorial and Publishing Centre, on the basis of which the centralized publication of the Russian Ministry of Defence media is organized (Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper, 8 district and naval newspapers, 10 magazines).
