Gregory Seib Acclaimed as 2024 Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Cumberland

LA RONGE, SK - Tonight, Gregory Seib was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party nominated candidate for Cumberland in the 2024 provincial election.

"I am grateful and humbled for the support of family, friends, and the people of Cumberland. I am excited to join the Saskatchewan Party team and honored to represent Cumberland in the upcoming election," Seib said. "I vow to be a strong voice for Cumberland and look forward to meeting and engaging with many more northerners across our constituency."

Seib is currently the Education Coordinator for Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Education Authority for Deschambault Lake. He completed his Bachelor of Education and taught in Prince Albert, Asquith and Deschambault Lake, as a teacher and Principal. In addition, Seib completed a master's degree of Northen Governance and Development in 2016. Before working in education, Seib acquired his Journeyman's Carpenter certificate and worked with his father in their family construction business for many years.

Seib has volunteered and serve on various community boards and committees such as the Deschambault Lake- Co-Management, RCMP Police Management Board, Church Board, Interagency Committee, and Northern Sports Culture & Recreation District Committee.

Alongside his wife Deborah, Seib managed a seasonal outfitting camp business for over fifteen years. He currently resides in Deschambault Lake with his wife Deborah of 37 years. They take great pride and joy supporting their parents, niece-daughter, granddaughter, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Gregory is a proud member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.

With Seib's nomination, the Saskatchewan Party now has 50 candidates nominated for the 2024 provincial election.
