Nominations being sought for Monmouth County
2024 Planning Merit Awards Program
FREEHOLD, NJ - The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners is pleased to announce that the County is accepting nominations for the Monmouth County Planning Board's 2024 Planning Merit Awards Program.
"The Planning Merit Awards Program recognizes plans, projects, programs, individuals, municipalities, businesses, community leaders and stakeholder organizations that have made a significant contribution to the advancement of planning and planning outcomes in Monmouth County," said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. "The purpose of the awards is to honor exceptional examples of planning in Monmouth County and to inspire others to pursue the same level of planning achievement and excellence."
"The Monmouth County Planning Board invites and encourages anyone to submit what they believe to be an outstanding nomination for consideration in the 2024 Planning Merit Awards Program," said Deputy Director Ross F. Licitra, member of the Monmouth County Planning Board. "Nominations can be made in two categories: Planning and Nonprofit; and Development and Private Enterprise."
"The Monmouth County Division of Planning provides professional planning services and technical assistance as staff advisors to the Monmouth County Planning Board and other County departments, divisions and agencies," said Commissioner Erik Anderson, liaison to the Division of Planning. "The Planning Merit Awards are a fantastic way to celebrate projects that demonstrate imaginative planning and creative solutions to planning problems, implementation of innovative, sustainable or regenerative design concepts."
Nominations may be submitted by any individual or organization. Projects, plans and programs must be located in Monmouth County and have been completed or fully implemented between Jan. 1, 2022 and Sept. 18, 2024. The deadline for the receipt of completed entries is Sept. 18, 2024 and applications must be submitted online.
