At the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Sberbank CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board Herman Gref and Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin have signed an agreement to cooperate in banking and other segments of the economy and social policy.

The parties will develop and introduce modern banking technology and infrastructure in Astrakhan Region, introduce non-cash settlements based on bank cards, co-run mortgage lending projects, create a logistics hub, implement a pilot project to create and manage electronic statements and monitor commercial e-receipts and prescriptions, and use of financial leasing, etc.

We care about a comprehensive and harmonious development of partner relations. This is not the first agreement we have signed with Astrakhan Region, and every time it covers interesting and vital projects that have a positive effect on people, economy, and the entire region. I am convinced that this partnership will also be a successful continuation of our cooperation history.
