INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, Allan W. Burnham, (40) was arrested for Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a class E Felony, Defrauding the Government, a class E Felony, and Official Misconduct, a class A Misdemeanor after an investigation by the Sheriff's Office. Burnham is an employee of the Washington County Sewer District and the charges relate to an investigation into Burnham and his conduct during his hours of employment. It was found that Burnham used County issued equipment to obtain benefits over a course of time that resulted in a financial gain to himself. Burnham was held for arraignment at Washington County Centralized Arraignment.
