Power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region work without interruptions in difficult weather conditions

2 December 2022
General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC Igor Makovskiy held a meeting of the Headquarters with heads of municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod region at the Nizhnovenergo branch.

According to the Upper Volga Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, in some places in the Nizhny Novgorod region, icing phenomena are expected to increase and icy-hoarfrost deposits with a diameter of up to 35 mm will appear. The number of areas affected by bad weather is increasing. In municipalities that have already been hit by the bad weather, recurrent manifestations are expected. This forecast will remain until 4 December.

Due to the aggravation of the situation, the head of the energy companies decided to attract additional emergency recovery crews from other regions of operational responsibility of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, as well as to restore power supply during the repair of lines to deliver 20 backup power sources to the region. Please, be reminded that yesterday at a meeting with Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin, Igor Makovskiy stressed that the formed reinforced group of power engineers will continue its work until all restoration work is completed.

"The weather conditions are getting tougher, increasing the already serious impact on the operation of the power grid complex. We are preparing for a new attack of the elements, increasing the number of crews, intensifying the supply of generators, and delivering additional equipment to the region. We will carry out work without stopping, around the clock, in order to minimize the negative consequences as much as possible," stressed General Director of the companies.
