New Ferry Landing at Ferry Point Park to Give Throgs Neck Easier Access to Manhattan

A new ferry landing will make it easier for surrounding communities in Throgs Neck to get to parts of Manhattan.

New York City Ferry is expanding to provide service at Ferry Point Park.

New York City Economic Development Corporation held a walking tour of the work being done to build up the area to get it ready for the ferry service.

Officials say it will give Bronx residents more ways to commute into Manhattan, which will be about a 45-minute ride on the water.

Officials say they're on track to finish the ferry landing as well as the park upgrades by the end of this year.
