A panel discussion, entitled 'Science, Technology and Innovation solutions as an enabler for achieving Sustainable Development Goals' was held at the UN headquarters

On 9 May, a panel discussion entitled "Science, Technology and Innovation solutions as an Enabler for achieving Sustainable Development Goals", organized by the Permanent Mission of Armenia on the margins of the Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals was held at the United Nations.

Among the panelist were Mr. Ruben Simonyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, the UNDP Deputy Assistant Administrator and Deputy Regional Director, the Senior Adviser to the UN Secretary-General's Tech Envoy on AI and Digital Transformation, Directors from the Enterprise Armenia, the CEO of TUMO Centre for Creative Technologies, Los Angeles Brunch.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Mher Margaryan, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN emphasized the role of ECOSOC in supporting developing countries to address socioeconomic and humanitarian challenges through science, technology and innovation.
