All the fun of the forums

The next round of Area Forums begins on Tuesday, 12 September at Chiswick Town Hall (W4 4JN) from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

The Chiswick event, chaired by Councillor Gabriella Giles, will discuss issues such as the LBH Flood Risk Management Strategy and recycling in Hounslow, culminating in an open forum. This event is the first of seven area forums before the end of October, with six in the space of three weeks.

Area Forums have become important dates in the community calendar, with attendances rising dramatically in the last year, due to an exciting marketplace format, where residents can speak to their elected representatives, Council teams, and community groups all under one roof.

Past forums have also hosted local police teams and provide an open and welcoming space for residents to discuss the ongoings of their community, as well as free drinks and refreshments for all those who attend.

The dates and locations of the forums are as follows:

12 September - Chiswick - Chiswick Town Hall (W4 4JN), 6:30pm-9:30pm

14 September - Central Hounslow - Hounslow House (TW3 3EB), 6pm-9pm

21 September - Bedfont & Feltham - Feltham Assembly Hall (TW14 9DN), 7:30pm

25 September - Hounslow South, Isleworth and Osterley & Spring Grove - West Thames College Endeavour Theatre (TW7 4HS), 6:30pm-9:30pm

28 September - Heston & Cranford - Cranford Community College (TW5 9PD), 6pm-9pm

2 October - Brentford & Syon (Time and venue TBC)

30 October - Hanworth (Time and venue TBC)

Cabinet member for Cabinet Member for Communities, Equalities and Culture, Councillor Shivraj Grewal, said "Area Forums have quickly become an important part of Hounslow Council's pledge to be a listening Council. Past forums have been very well attended, and we look forward to residents having their opinion heard".
