On March 25, 2024, at approximately 12:08 p.m., State Police members responded to a wooded area off the Eddy Road in the town of Mooers for two deceased individuals. Border Patrol Agent and K9 Connie were conducting a routine search in the woods for any criminal activity. K9 Connie alerted on a black backpack, then a snow-covered mound. Under the snow was a deceased male. K9 Connie continued to search the area and alerted on another snow-covered mound, resulting in another deceased male.

The two deceased males located in the woods were identified as Abdoulaye Ndoye, age 25 and Ndongo Sarry, age 25, both of Dakar, Senegal.

An autopsy was performed at Glens Falls Hospital on Ndoye, and Sarry by Pathologist, Doctor Michael. The autopsy determined the cause of death to be hypothermia due to exposure of wet and cold environment by Dr. Sikirica. Coroner Deans ruled the manner of death to be accidental.

This case remains under investigation by the State Police
