The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has attended the swearing-in of the Crown Prosecutor of the State, Álvaro García Ortiz, who committed to his post before H.M. the King in the Zarzuela Palace.

The Minister for the Presidency, Justice and Parliamentary Relations, Félix Bolaños, took part in the ceremony as First Notary of the Kingdom.

García Ortiz will continue to head the Crown Prosecutor of the State's Office, at the proposal of the Government, and following deliberation by the Council of Ministers, in accordance with the provisions established in Royal Decree 1182/2023 of 27 December.

As the head of this constitutional body, he is the head and representative of the Public Prosecution Service.
