The City Clerk/Elections Official has gathered the following information and resources for those who want to run for office:
Candidate Eligibility
Nomination Process
During the nomination period, interested candidates meet with the Elections Official (City Clerk) to review the virtual Candidate's Guide which containing useful information and regulations regarding the election process, campaign, and nomination forms/candidate papers. At their appointment, Candidates also receive the nomination forms / papers to be completed and filed prior to the end of the nomination period. Nomination Forms for eligible candidates that desire to file are available from the Office of the City Clerk, 124 N. Cloverdale Blvd, Cloverdale CA, 95424, during the Nomination Period, by appointment only - Contact [email protected] to make an appointment.

July 15, 2024 at 8 a.m. through August 9, 2024 at 5 p.m.

The Candidate's Information Guide is available only online at www.cloverdale.net/24candidateguide
This guide is not a static document, it is a dynamic reference that will continuously be updated with new and helpful election information.
Public Information
Becoming a candidate for public office means that information about you will become a matter of public record. With a few exceptions, this includes any and all documents submitted to the City during the course of the election. Consequently, these documents must, by law, be available to the public for inspection and/or copying.
