The London Stock Exchange today welcomes Raspberry Pi Holdings plc, a leader in low-cost, high-performance computing, as it celebrates the company's admission to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.

The company has successfully raised £166m through an oversubscribed placing, giving the company a market capitalisation on admission of £541.6 million. Assuming the that Over-allotment Option is exercised in full, the final offer size will be £178.9 millions, representing approximately 33.0 per cent of the Company's Ordinary Shares. It will apply the net proceeds received towards engineering capital expenditure, to develop its supply chain resilience, and for other general corporate purposes.

Raspberry Pi's high-performance, low-cost single board computers and compute modules are widely used by industrial IoT customers and in embedded applications, as well as by enthusiasts and educators, in markets worldwide. Since Raspberry Pi began trading in 2012, it has sold over 60 million computers and compute modules, of which 7.4 million were sold in 2023.

The company's strong financial track record has enabled it to distribute approximately $50m since inception to support the work of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, a UK charity founded in 2008, to enable young people to realise their potential through computing. Raspberry Pi looks forward to continuing its relationship with the Foundation, which remains a major shareholder.

Raspberry Pi benefits from a founder-led management team with an impressive industry track record and scale-up experience. It is overseen by an exceptional Board, comprising individuals with substantial and relevant experience, with a clear focus on the highest standards of governance, the long-term success of Raspberry Pi, and value creation for all stakeholders.

Eben Upton, Chief Executive Officer of Raspberry Pi, commented:
"We are delighted to make our stock market debut at the London Stock Exchange. It's something we could scarcely have imagined twelve years ago when we sold our first product, and the fact we've reached this point is testament to the dedicated and diligent work of Raspberry Pi's exceptional team, as well as to the boundless creativity of the Raspberry Pi community. Today, Raspberry Pi has become the go-to solution for high-performance, low-cost, general-purpose computing; we're excited to embark on the next phase of our growth as we continue to achieve impact everywhere from education to enterprise to industrial IoT."
