LAFD Recruit Killed In Studio City Freeway Collision

Shortly after 5:00 AM this morning, a Los Angeles Fire Department Recruit Firefighter en route to academy training was fatally injured, when he stopped to render aid at a traffic collision with injuries on the northbound Hollywood (US 101) Freeway south of Vineland Avenue.

Despite the best efforts of LAFD and other emergency responders, the Recruit Firefighter died at the scene.
