Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee Chairman David Rouzer (R-NC) announced that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing to examine the Administration's implementation of its revised, or conforming, rule on the definition of "waters of the United States" (WOTUS) under the Clean Water Act and its impacts on states and stakeholders. The Administration put forward the conforming rule after key underlying principles of its original WOTUS rule were invalidated by the Supreme Court's 2023 Sackett v. EPA decision. The hearing, entitled "Waters of the United States Implementation Post-Sackett Decision: Experiences and Perspectives," will take place at 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
