Crews to Place Concrete on a Portion of Waketon Road

Beginning at 2 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, the Town of Double Oak will be placing concrete on Waketon Road between Kings Road and Chinn Chapel Road. The contractor expects paving to be complete by 8 a.m. that same day, Monday, Sept. 26. While work is underway, please expect significant delays in the area, and avoid it if possible.

The Waketon Road project is a joint project with the Town of Double Oak. The overall project limits are from Cross Timbers Drive in Double Oak to Parkesdale Drive in Flower Mound. The Flower Mound section of the project includes the upgrade of the existing two-lane asphalt roadway to a two-lane urban collector street section with an enclosed storm drainage system. The project also includes the installation of a roundabout at the Waketon Road/Chinn Chapel Road intersection. The overall project is scheduled to be complete in fall 2022.
