Celebrate Valley Bike Month by Riding Gilbert’s Trails

Gilbert, Ariz. - Celebrate the joys of bike riding this April as Gilbert recognizes Valley Bike Month. Bicycling offers many benefits, including boosting community spirit, improving citizens health and well-being, and offering a low-cost transportation option.

Gilbert's multi-use path system connects our community to other Phoenix Metropolitan regional pathways. In Gilbert, there are 50 miles of trails that connect our neighborhoods, parks and the Heritage District. Check out our Bike Map here.

Please keep in mind these tips when out riding your bicycle:

• Wear a properly fitted helmet, reflective gear and always have a light on your bike when riding at nighttime or early morning.
• Let the people around you know your next move by using hand signals or saying it out loud.
• Everyone, including bicyclists, must yield to horses.
• Ride with the flow of traffic and follow all traffic laws when on the road.

If you're out riding your bicycle and encounter an issue, please stop by a bike repair station. Take note of their locations below:

• Western Canal trail on the west side of Gilbert Road by art bench.
• Eastern Canal "rest stop" on Guadalupe on the west side of the canal right by the entrance to Riparian Preserve.
• Consolidated Canal installation (the small bus stop) on the west side of Lindsay Road by the popular bus stop/bridge over the canal.
• Gilbert Regional Park trail into the park on asphalt path by Higley/Queen Creek.
• Loop 202 trail entrance on Higley/202
• Powerline trail entrance by San Tan generating station (east of Val Vista/Warner).
