Minister Lintilä to make a Team Finland visit to Chile and Colombia

Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä is heading a Team Finland visit to Chile and Colombia from 27 November to 2 December 2022 to promote Finnish companies' exports and internationalisation. A business delegation of 23 people will consist of representatives from the energy, defence, security and space technology sectors, in particular.

"Finnish companies have a great deal to offer to these countries as they undergo a green transition and develop their defence and security solutions. There are great opportunities for cooperation within renewable energy and energy storage. Meanwhile, communications solutions and training cooperation are in demand in the security sector. The products and solutions of the Finnish defence industry are among the best, and they are increasingly needed due to the changed international security situation," Minister Lintilä says.

Minister of Economic Affairs will visit Chile on 27-30 November where he will have bilateral meetings with the country's defence, economy and energy ministers. Lintilä will also visit the ExpoNaval 2022 fair and major energy companies together with the Finnish delegation.

During his visit to Colombia on 1-2 December, Lintilä will meet the Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism, the Minister of Mines and Energy, and the Minister of Defence. He will also hold meetings with several key businesses and administrative branches, which are involved in the sectors the Finnish delegation represents.

Business Finland has selected the business delegation. It consists of representatives from the Ministry of Defence, Association of Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries, AFRY Finland Oy, DA-Group, Finnvera Oyj, Goodmill Systems Oy, ICEYE Oy, LUT University, Marine Alutech Oy Ab, Merus Power Oyj, Neste Oyj, Nokia Oyj, Nordic Access Oy, Patria Oy, ReOrbit Oy, Savox Communications Oy Ab and Wärtsilä Oyj Abp.
