'Didn't deserve more than this one point'

After the 0-0 draw away to 1. FC Heidenheim, Edin Terzic, Niclas Füllkrug and Alexander Meyer spoke to the media. The match reactions.

Edin Terzic (to DAZN): "We didn't deserve more than this one point. In the second period in particular we had a lot of possession but no penetration and could hardly generate any power and hardly created any chances. We were far too complicated, far too passive in the positions and had major problems with the pitch. It is our ambition to play better football and create more chances in order to deserve the win. Even if it looked a tad better in the second period, it was far too little."

Niclas Füllkrug (to DAZN and in the mixed zone): "It is of course not enough. We wanted to take three points. Heidenheim always manage to make the pitch very long. That creates a lot of space and thus it was end to end almost the entire time. In addition - and this is not supposed to be an excuse - we saw slips in a number of situations. That rendered one or two shots even more difficult. In the second half, we had more control and also created dangerous situations. But every player had problems to find the last moment. We're a team that's in a process. A lot of players are also missing. But all of that is not an excuse; we need to do better, but must not fall into a depression either."

Alexander Meyer (to DAZN): "It's true that it wasn't as compelling as we wanted. We performed better in the second period. We want to perform completely differently throughout the entire game, not just in phases. We didn't have enough goalscoring threat. It was clearly not enough today."
