New Statewide Emergency Water Conservation Regulation
On June 10, 2022, a new statewide emergency water conservation regulation adopted by the State Water Resources Control Board went into effect. The new regulation prohibits watering of non-functional turf at commercial, industrial, and institutional properties and requires urban water suppliers to implement Stage 2 of their Water Shortage Plan. Hesperia Water District customers are prohibited from unreasonably or wastefully using water, and water conservation practices are mandatory.
