Rape Suspect In Custody Following LPR Hit in Oklahoma

A child rape suspect is now in custody after a license plate reader hit on his vehicle in Oklahoma City. Seth Taylor, 38, of Madison, was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month following the repeated rape a 12-year-old girl years prior.

The victim visited a health center in July 2022 where she disclosed she'd been raped multiple times over the last year and Taylor was quickly identified as a man who she had close contact with through a relative.

Youth Services and Violent Crimes Divisions detectives recently attempted to locate Taylor when Brentwood Police advised his vehicle hit on their LPR system. He was located early this morning through LPR data at an Oklahoma City apartment complex and was arrested by Oklahoma City Police Department.

He will be extradited back to Nashville in the coming days where he faces five counts of rape of a child, two counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
