Texas Center for the Book Launches Fifth Season of Online #TXBookChat Literary Series

Austin, TX - The Texas Center for the Book is continuing its #TXBookChat series with a fifth season of the popular literary program. This online series from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission launched in 2020. #TXBookChat offers brief discussions with authors, librarians and literary professionals. These informal "coffee chats" last about 30 minutes and offer a quick look into different aspects of the state's literary world. #TXBookChat seeks to bring together diverse voices and perspectives.

#TXBookChat season five will include pre-recorded sessions with

  • National Student Poet of the Southwest: Texan Kechi Mbah
  • Libraries Without Borders and their Tools for Texans
  • Writers' League of Texas: An Inside Scoop on the largest literary arts organization in Texas
  • The Texas Author Project Program: Learn about the program and meet one of the 2021 Winners Haleigh Wenger

"We are so excited to host another season of the #TXBookChat program at the Texas Center for the Book," said Coordinator Rebekah Manley. "This virtual series has been a great platform for Texas authors, illustrators, librarians and literacy advocates to connect with book lovers statewide and beyond."
