King of Prussia, PA- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction will occur next week on U.S. 422 under two improvement projects in Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
The stoppages and paces are required for the protection of motorists and workers so crews can safely perform controlled rock blasting to excavate the area for drainage construction.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The blasting, shoulder reconstruction, and utility installation are part of an $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve U.S. 422 and replace two bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
The sawcutting and concrete patching are part of a $6.9 million project to rehabilitate pavement on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route 29/Phoenixville and Route 363/Trooper Road interchanges.
