Earth Day To-Go Kits at the Branch Libraries

In celebration of Earth Day, the City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to offer free Earth Day To-Go kits for patrons 18 and older. The kits will be available for pickup at branch libraries in Orcutt, Los Alamos, and Cuyama. The Orcutt Branch is located at 175 South Broadway in Orcutt. The Cuyama Branch is located at 4689 CA-166 in New Cuyama. The Los Alamos Branch is located at 405 Helena Street in Los Alamos.

Patrons are invited to learn how to upcycle eggshells into biodegradable mini seed planters. Kits include soil, seeds, and empty egg cartons. Kits will be available for pickup at branch library locations beginning Monday, April 22^nd, while supplies last.

This program supports the Library's mission of lifelong learning through hands-on activities inspiring creativity. The program is supported in whole or part by the Orcutt and Los Alamos Friends of the Library at those locations, and by the Santa Maria Public Library Foundation at Cuyama.
