Seasonal Dog Ban

The seasonal dog ban on Wyre's bathing beaches returns from 1 May until 30 September.

There are lots of beautiful places in Wyre where you can exercise with your dog and we love welcoming your four-legged friends to our great outdoors.

However, there will be no dogs permitted on Wyre's bathing beaches in Cleveleys and Fleetwood between Wednesday 1 May and Monday 30 September. There are signs and flags to help you identify where the banned areas are.

The areas are Cleveleys beach between FBKafe (or Naimos for our Star Wars fans) and the Wyre/Blackpool boundary and Marine beach in Fleetwood opposite the beach huts near the slipway and Central car park.

There is still plenty of beach that you can enjoy with your dogs and the restrictions do not include the promenade, although all dogs on the prom must be on a lead.

Remember dog fouling will not be tolerated anywhere in the borough. Please respect our great outdoors and walk your dog away from a fine. You can incur a FPN of £100 if you disregard our dog control orders.
