Scotiabank Jamaica Donates J$1,000,000.00 to JaMIN spearheaded by JSSE

JaMIN (Jamaica Music Studio), a music entrepreneurship project in Trench Town (popularized birthplace of rocksteady and reggae music), and operated by the Agency for Innercity Renewal (AIR), is one of the many social projects being assisted by the Jamaica Social Stock Exchange (JSSE), has received much desired 'air' from The Bank of Nova Scotia in Jamaica, JA$1,000,000.00

JaMIN is a state-of-the-art music production studio and learning laboratory. It focuses on using Music and Entrepreneurship initiative to create an alternative pathway for young persons who would normally be engaged in Crime and Violence. The long-term goal is to provide learners with certification to facilitate their matriculation to tertiary education in music-based disciplines.

The JSSE is the social arm of the Jamaica Stock Exchange and beyond spearheading Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of the JSE, through its state-of-the-art platform, promotes the mobilization of social capital markets on a Social Stock Exchange (SSE). It's vision is to assist Jamaica in creating a robust and sustainable social sector by 2030.
