TOWSON, Md.-To accommodate increased demand for tours of Hampton Mansion, the National Park Service is moving forward with a one-year pilot program where visitors may reserve their tickets for Mansion tours on Recreation.gov. Recreation.gov is the government's trip planning and reservation service for 14 federal agencies, including the National Park Service. Our goal is to enhance visitor experience by providing an efficient reservation process, and this pilot program will help us determine the best course of action. The pilot program will go live on Recreation.gov May 1, 2024, with tours available to be booked starting on May 9, 2024.

Visitors who make their reservations through Recreation.gov will pay a $1.00 reservation fee to cover the cost of the reservation service. Tour tickets will be made available three months in advance, and are available until tours are at capacity, or until 10:00 p.m. the night before the tour. Walk-up tickets will still be available on a first-come first-served basis for any remaining tickets on the day of the tour. Because there is no guarantee that tickets will be available on the day of the tour, visitors are encouraged to reserve their tickets ahead of time.

Reservations are only required for Mansion tours. All outdoor programs are free and do not require a reservation. For more information, go to: nps.gov/hamp
