Mesa Marathon to close some Loop 202 ramps on Saturday (Feb. 10)

Drivers can check Mesa's interactive map for race route, restrictions

PHOENIX - A limited number of Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) on- or off-ramps are scheduled to be closed at times on Saturday, Feb. 10, while the annual Mesa Marathon is taking place.

The city of Mesa and race organizers plan to close the eastbound Loop 202 off-ramp and westbound on-ramp at Recker Road. Restrictions are scheduled between 4 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, although closures also are expected to be lifted once participants have passed through an area and any clean up has taken place.

Drivers also should plan on heavy delays at the Loop 202 ramps at Dobson Road due to race traffic. Restrictions will be in place along local streets, including Dobson Road and Rio Salado Parkway, in areas close to the marathon's finish line at Mesa Riverview Park.
