Guide to adult social care support

There's more information on offer to Knowsley residents seeking help accessing adult social care services in the borough.

A new leaflet which aims to explain the role of adult social care and provide a step-by-step guide through the care assessment and planning process has been produced by the council's Adult Social Care team.

The leaflet answers most of the frequently asked questions about the assessment process and gives families, and those seeking care, information and advice about what to do if they feel like they need support either from social care or other community organisations.

All of the information was developed following engagement with adults who use services as well as Healthwatch Knowsley.

There is also a version for patients coming to the end of a hospital stay which provides additional specific information about how to access adult social cares services following discharge from hospital.
