NYC & COMPANY LAUNCHES SECOND EPISODE OF LOCAL LEGENDS VIDEO SERIES, PROMOTING THE FIVE BOROUGHS THROUGH THE LENSES OF NOTABLE NEW YORKERS

-NYC & Company Releases the Series' Second Episode Today Featuring Hector Espinal Jr, a Proud Latino and Washington Heights Native Who Started His Own Running Community-

New York City (January 25, 2023) - NYC & Company, the official destination marketing organization and convention and visitors bureau for the five boroughs of New York City, announced the latest addition to Local Legends, a new documentary-style video series hightlighting notable New Yorkers and their perspectives on some of the City's most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods.The six-minute episode, released today, features Hector Espinal Jr, co-founder of the running club We Run Uptown (WRU Crew), exploring his favorite places in the Latino-centric neighborhood of Washington Heights.

In this video, Hector Espinal Jr connects with other locals, shows off the green spaces and stunning views from J. Hood Wright Park and talks about why bodegas are the cornerstones of any predominantly Latino neighborhood in NYC. Espinal also visits Malecon, a family-owned restaurant preserving Dominican culture and culinary traditions, and takes us to his running club's headquarters at Locksmith Bar.
