Toko Suhartati Successfully Expanded and Developed After Becoming a Partner of PT Timah Tbk

EAST BELITUNG - PT Timah Tbk's Micro Small Business Funding Program (PUMK) has succeeded in developing Suhartati's Tiara grocery store business.

Suhartati's grocery store is located at Jalan Meranti RT 17 Selinssing Village, Gantung District, East Belitung.

Suhartati founded the business about 13 years ago. Because since childhood he dreamed of owning a grocery store and it finally came true.

"So that was indeed my dream since childhood, it just came true, at that time this location was still empty, then we submitted the land and our initiative was to immediately build houses and shops," said Suhartati.

According to Suhartati, at that time she managed the shop herself because her husband was still working outside Belitung. Nevertheless, she remains determined to work alone so as to realize her dream since childhood.

"For now we sell groceries, knick-knacks, daily needs, phone credit, fuel, transfers, and others," she said.

Suhartati explained that she had been a partner of PT Timah Tbk for a long time before even setting up the shop, such as selling mattresses, and at that time she was not domiciled in Selinsing.

"We used to be in the business of trading floor mattresses, already a partner of PT Timah Tbk, but at that time the business was stopped because there were not many profits, so we focused on this grocery store," she explained.

Not all of the various businesses she has been involved in have gone smoothly, but she feels very grateful because PT Timah Tbk has always been open and continues to support him in her endeavors.

"For now we are getting a capital loan, we are using it for building rehabilitation so that it is bigger than before, only 3X4 meters, now it is 6X8 meters," she explained.

She is grateful that his business continues to grow and advance because most people want to shop at bigger and more complete stores.

"Alhamdulillah, we are greatly assisted by PT Timah Tbk's capital loan, apart from building rehabilitation, we can also add merchandise," she explained.

She hopes PT Timah Tbk's PUMK program can continue so that it can help the community's economy, especially MSME players.
