On September 30, the opening ceremony of the "Americas Competitiveness Exchange" (ACE Armenia) program was attended by Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Deputy Minister of Economy Narek Hovakimyan, US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien and US Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States, Ambassador Francisco Mora, as well as officials and business representatives from the USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Ecuador, Jamaica and the Bahamas who arrived to Armenia.
The program, which runs until October 4, is organized with the support of the Government of Armenia and the Government of the United States under the auspices of the Organization of American States (OAS). The event aims to intensify dialogue and cooperation between participating countries and Armenia, focusing on areas such as information and communication technologies, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, STEM education and winemaking.
On the first day of the event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan delivered remarks highlighting the importance of holding such an event in Armenia, which is a good platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences and will enable further deepening and developing the cooperation between businesses, representatives and experts of various economic sectors of participating countries and Armenia.
