Upon the occasion of INTOSAI's 70-year anniversary Margit Kraker in her function as Secretary General of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) pointed out that independence means that the Supreme Audit Institution can publish at any time, and that the Supreme Audit Institution can also choose the topics itself. "As the umbrella organization of Supreme Audit Institutions across the globe with almost 200 members, INTOSAI plays a key role in helping its members to strengthen their position in their respective states, fulfil their mission and develop their capacities in order to make a difference to the lives of citizens - through their audits, their recommendations and their expertise," Kraker emphasized.

In addition, the 60-year anniversary of the INTOSAI General Secretariat was also marked in Vienna. On 21 November 2023, there was 77th meeting of the INTOSAI Governing Board where members discussed topics such as organisational policies, budget, long-term strategies and work plans.

Alongside of the main events in Vienna, the President of the Court of Audit Jana Ahčin actively cooperated in several bilateral discussions with other heads of the SAIs. The talks were an opportunity for the exchange of opinions, best practice and experience related to audit work. Furthermore, they contributed towards strengthening the cooperation and setting up close professional relations in joint effort to implement audit tasks more efficiently.

INTOSAI was formed in November 1953 in Havana, Cuba. The SAI Austria has been hosting the INTOSAI General Secretariat in Vienna since 1963. INTOSAI is a non-governmental organization with special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.
