Bunbury (WA) to host the 2018 Junior Road National...

Bunbury has been confirmed as the host location for the 2018 Cycling Australia Junior Road National Championships which will be held from 21-23 September.

Presented by WestCycle on behalf of Cycling Australia, the Junior Road National Championships is expected to attract up to 300 of the country's most promising young cyclists in the under 15 and 17 categories.

The National Championships will also be the final event in the 2018 National Junior Road Series (NJRS) which will roll out across the country from April 2018.

Situated two hours south of Perth, Bunbury will provide competitors and spectators alike a uniquely Western Australian experience and ideal racing conditions.

Located on the coast of the Indian Ocean, it will showcase exceptional scenery, with the course designed to capture the stunning coastline for all three event, the individual time trial, criterium and road races.

'The opportunity gives us the chance to provide a uniquely Western Australia racing experience and showcase the beauty of the South West Region of Australia,' said Matt Fulton, CEO, WestCycle.

'We would like to thank the City of Bunbury for their support which we hope will set a new benchmark for National events around the country.'
