Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 22nd meeting of 2022

On 21 November the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska held its 22nd meeting of 2022, chaired by NBS Governor Peter Kažimír.

The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €2 commemorative coin marking the 100th anniversary of the first blood transfusion in Slovakia.

The coin, whose national side was designed by Mária Poldaufová, will have the same technical parameters as normal €2 coins and will be legal tender in Slovakia and the rest of the euro area.

Produced by the Kremnica Mint with a mintage of one million, the coin is due to be issued in March 2023.

The Bank Board discussed and approved the Bank's November 2022 Financial Stability Report, which will be published on the NBS website.
