PM BAINIMARAMA BACKS VITI RUVE WOMEN’S CRICKET TEAM-(08-09-2022)

Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama attended the fundraising dinner for the Fiji National Women's Cricket team namely, Viti Ruve at Suva's Vineyard Palace Restaurant earlier tonight.

Prime Minister Bainimarama, in his address, conveyed his well wishes to the team ahead of their tournament in Vanuatu next month.

At the fundraising dinner, the Head of the Fijian Government stressed the importance of support from families and all well-wishers to the national team.

"We should continue to show our support to women in sports and I'm very happy with the plans that Cricket Fiji has," he said.

"Thank you for turning up in numbers to show your support to our girls. We are certain they will play their level best in Vanuatu."

Meanwhile, the Fiji National Men's Cricket team earlier left the country to participate in the tournament in Vanuatu.
