Current Visitor Restrictions at Mercy Hospital Ada

Mercy has adopted leading industry protocols to ensure the highest quality and safety standards that keep our patients, co-workers and visitors as safe as possible while on our campus. Although Mercy still encourages limited visitation to keep unnecessary interaction at a minimum, Mercy Hospital Ada and Mercy Clinic are revising their visitation policies, as well as campus guidelines in certain areas.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as Mercy's response evolves and various protocols are updated. Ultimately, the goal is to maintain the safest environment possible for our patients and co-workers.

Please review the following guidelines, effective August 2, 2021:

  • Visitors are required to wear a mask and will be permitted during the following visiting hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Inatients will be allowed one designated visitor.
  • Visitors will not be allowed for outpatient services.
  • Visitor will not be allowed to return after leaving the hospital for the day.

Exceptions to the visitor policy are listed below:

  • All patients who have tested positive for COVID-19, as well as those with pending test results, may not have a visitor at this time.
  • Family Birthplace: Visitors will be allowed to stay overnight. Visitors will not be permitted to re-enter facility the until the next day if they choose to leave after the close of visiting hours.
  • Emergency Department: Patients in the emergency department will be allowed one designated visitor once the patient is assigned to a room. Visitors may not wait in the lobby, must wear a mask, and must stay in the patient's room. Visitors may wait in the hall for short periods of time at the request of nursing staff. Visitors may exit and return the facility at the discretion of the nursing staff.
